From CHAASC Pilot Nathanial Karr's Air-Ship's Armoury cabinet, we are making available this Tesla Discharge Ray Gun.

This weapon is a nod to Tesla's basic principles. It is a simple gun, being that when fired, it discharges a bolt of electricity in basically a straight line to the nearest target. The cage acts as a collector array for electricity from the surrounding air. The holder would have had to assure no objects are within a 3 foot radius inline with the intended target, or the charge would divert to that object.

Intended for use on on Canadian High Altitude Air Ships against enemy craft. It was also not used on days on which thunderstorms were likely, as it had a unforseen tendency to attract lighting to its cage, and would overload, as well as cook the individual wielding it. Gained the nickname "The Rod"...short for "The Lighting Rod".

Has 3 settings; low, medium and high. Firing at a being on the low setting was similar to our "electric chair." Medium resulted in the target looking like a steak left to cook on a bar-b-q overnight. High resulted in the target becoming ash in a split second.

This one has been deactivated, with key internal components being removed making it inert.

Why? Simply put, this dimension is not ready for such technology, and Nat refused to allow us to release such devastatingly powerful tech into unwary and unprepared hands. Besides, the use of this in untrained/poorly trained hands was bad enough, resulting in a high percentage of accidental and horrific deaths.

Thus, this now inert weapon is suitable only for display or cosplay purposes.

It is not perfectly in brand new condition, as it has travelled across numerous dimensions, and has been used in the field! This is NOT a gentleman's showy display piece! This was a functional weapon used in defense against beings not of this world; and wielded by an experienced pilot/solider of the Canadian High Altitude Air Ship Corps, in his travels through dimensions unfathomable by us.

This weapon measures about 14 3/4" long x about 6" high.

No attempts should be made to rearm this piece as it will only damage it, and, besides, you will not find appropriate replacements for the missing components existing intact in this dimension.

Seller retains all copyright, photo use privileges, and other artistic rights to the images of this piece. You are buying only the physical piece itself, not the rights for the use of any of the seller's previously produced images of it, nor the backstory, characters involved, etc.

This piece is about 95% metals in its composition. The artist has used aluminium, brass, copper and steel components, all salvaged from a variety of sources, and re-envisioned, repurposed into this sculpture. he weight thus has a "real" feel that plastics tend to not replicate.
