This mid-late Georgian period wax legal seal stamper measures 3 9/16" long. With a turned, chunky hardwood handle, it has a dark ebony toned finish. It is not as dull as the photos appear to indicate. Could use a careful cleaning. Diamond cross hatched working surface that would press into the wax measures 7/8" in diameter. Heavy dark patina on the brass portion, indicative of its age.
